Currently undertaking her master's degree in Skin Cancer with The University of Queensland, Dr Susan Beale's special interest in skin cancer and dermatology has seen her gain a wealth of experience over several years in performing full skin cancer checks and biopsies of suspicious lesions. She completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017 and practised as a GP for several years, during which she managed many skin cancer cases. She also worked in emergency medicine and critical care.
Dr Beale is passionate about dermoscopy as a mainstay for early skin cancer detection. She is committed to working closely with her patients to address their acute medical concerns and delivering thorough and holistic care. She strongly believes in educating her patients in preventative medicine, including all aspects of sun safety, and highlighting the advantages of regular skin checks for early detection of skin cancers, leading to better long-term outcomes for her patients.
