Skin Cancer Doctor at Sun Patrol Skin Cancer Centre Berwick

Dr Michael Inskip qualified from Manchester Medical School in the UK in 1987. He has a long background in general practice in both the UK and New Zealand. Mike has worked exclusively as a full-time skin cancer practitioner since arriving in Australia in 2007. He founded the first Sun Patrol Skin Cancer Centre in Berwick in 2010.

Over the last decade, Mike has built up extensive experience in skin cancer practice. So far, he has undertaken more than 11,000 surgical procedures and diagnosed at least 700 melanomas, 1,400 squamous cell carcinomas and 3,000 basal cell carcinomas. This level of experience means he is able to accurately diagnose skin cancers. Mike removes very few ‘innocent’ lesions and has a very low rate of unnecessary excisions.

Mike is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Medicine, The University of Queensland, and has written various academic publications on the subjects of skin cancer medicine and dermoscopy.
