Dr Phil Flambas

Dr Phil Flambas

Skin Cancer Doctor at St George Skin Cancer Centre

Dr Phil Flambas was born in Sydney, Australia. He was a student at Sydney Boys High and graduated from the University of NSW Medical School in 1978. He then went to Sri Lanka for a few months as a medical student, combined with backpacking through India and Nepal.

After graduating medicine, Dr Flambas worked as a hospital doctor in England. He came back to Australia and practised as a country GP for some years, before returning to Sydney and becoming the Managing Editor of a long-established medical journal.

Dr Flambas obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of NSW in 1992 and worked as a hospital administrator, management consultant and equities analyst, supplemented at times with part-time medical work. He returned to full-time medical practice over a decade ago.

In his spare time, he has been researching and writing about Plato’s Atlantis story.
