Professor David Wilkinson is an esteemed expert in skin cancer medicine with two decades experience in diagnosis and treatment (including surgery), and an extensive body of skin cancer research and publications. He is a leading advocate for new medical technologies such as Total Body Photography and ensures his clinical practice is informed by the latest research.

He was Dean of Medicine at The University of Queensland for eight years, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Macquarie University for eight years. Now, as Chief Medical Officer for National Skin Cancer Centres, Professor Wilkinson has trained over 7,000 GPs on the fundamentals of skin cancer treatment.

His MBBS was earned at Manchester University, and he holds a master's degree in Epidemiology from Columbia University and Doctorates from the University of Kwa Zulu Natal and University of South Australia.

Professor Wilkinson takes a holistic approach to the management of skin and in addition to skin cancer medicine, he is very interested in technologies and treatments that repair the damage the sun does to our skin.
