MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Quamrun Nahar Siddiqua Moushumi has additional training in skin cancer medicine and surgery and holds a Professional Diploma in Skin Cancer Surgery and Medicine. She has been practising in this field since 2018 and has over 12 years of continuous experience within the Australian healthcare system here in Perth as a medical practitioner.
She is trained in performing comprehensive skin checks with Dermoscopy, as well as skin biopsies, excisions and non-surgical treatment options including cryotherapy, diathermy and topical treatments for pre-malignant skin lesions. Dr Moushumi has experience in Dermoscopy-based lesion assessment and primary care procedures, including skin biopsies, simple excision , local flaps and full-thickness skin grafts (FTSGs). She also performs cosmetic mole removal, with careful attention to technique and cosmetic outcome.
Dr Moushumi takes the time to listen to each patient's concerns and explain findings clearly, so they feel informed and at ease throughout every step of their visit. Passionate about the early detection and management of skin cancers, she works closely with patients to help them understand sun-related skin conditions and how to protect their skin going forward. She recognises that a skin check or diagnosis can feel worrying, and she focuses on creating a calm, supportive environment where patients feel heard and cared for.
When treatment is needed, Dr Moushumi discusses the available surgical and non-surgical options with her patients, so they can make informed decisions about their care with attention to cosmetic outcomes. Her approach centres on open communication, so patients leave each appointment with a clear understanding of their skin health and next steps.
