Dr Zhengdong Qu is a General Practitioner with a special interest in skin cancer medicine. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2024.
Dr Qu completed his medical degree in China in 2004 and later worked as a genetic biologist at Monash University from 2007 to 2017. He undertook hospital training with Peninsula Health between 2018 and 2022, followed by general practice training in Wodonga.
Since 2024, Dr Qu has developed a strong clinical interest in skin cancer medicine and has undertaken further education in dermoscopy and skin cancer surgery through the Australasian College of Cutaneous Oncology. He continues to build his knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and management of skin conditions.
Dr Qu provides comprehensive skin checks and offers a range of treatment options, including both medical and surgical management where appropriate. He values clear communication and works collaboratively with patients to determine suitable treatment approaches based on their individual needs.
He has a particular interest in improving diagnostic accuracy and refining surgical techniques, with a focus on achieving good functional and cosmetic outcomes.
Outside of work, Dr Qu enjoys sailing on Port Phillip Bay, with a long-term goal of sailing around the world. He also has a passion for rural life, carpentry, camping and long-distance driving.
