Educating the Community About Skin Cancer

Posted by National Skin Cancer Centres on Mar 23, 2018 10:00:00 AM

Living in the skin cancer capital of the world, it’s so important for Australians to be informed about skin cancer prevention and early detection. Two in three of us will get skin cancer by the age of 70, and the earlier it's found, the better your chances of successful treatment - but you need to know what symptoms to look for.

Most of our doctors hold teaching positions across Australia, training GPs in skin cancer management and helping our patients to look after their skin health. Skin Cancer Doctor Hamilton Ayres recently delivered an information session at the Monash City Council, helping to raise awareness about skin cancer risk. See more of his talk in the video below.

We're passionate about saving lives and helping to manage your skin health. Please browse our blog for free learning resources, and better yet, come and see us for your annual skin check!
