When to see your skin cancer doctor

Did you know that a lot of skin cancers are completely invisible to the naked eye?

Skin cancers can develop anywhere on the body - even inside your mouth or on the soles of your feet - and often don't show symptoms until an advanced stage.

If left untreated, skin cancer can grow much larger and/or spread to other organs of the body, leading to significant scarring, disfigurement or even death.

But if diagnosed and treated early, skin cancers have a very high cure rate, so early detection is key!

In this short video, Dr Terry Harvey explains why it's so important to get your skin checked regularly, even if you don’t have anything particular on your skin that concerns you.

Using advanced diagnostic tools that see below the surface of your skin to identify any signs of cancerous cells, we might catch a skin cancer you weren’t aware of!
